How listings are ranked
Exactly, so you can judge it yourself.
Order on city, area, and state pages
1. Featured listings first, always labeled with a Featured mark. Featured is paid placement; it never changes a company's rating or review data.
2. Companies with Google reviews, ordered by a weighted score: the average rating pulled toward 4.2 by ten phantom reviews. A 4.9 with 200 reviews outranks a 5.0 with 3 reviews. The exact formula: (rating × reviews + 42) / (reviews + 10).
3. Companies without review data, rotated daily so no company permanently benefits from its alphabetical position.
Where the data comes from
Listings are compiled from Florida DBPR licensing records and industry association member data. Ratings and review counts come from each company's public Google listing and refresh periodically. We never write, edit, or accept payment to change reviews.
Corrections
